Think beach-ball, zebra, pin-stripe or just plain old STRIPES

This season’s spring 2017 runways have been embellished with stripes galore. From tailored flared trousers, to bikini bottoms, boxy shirts and flouncy skirts. The striped trend is taking the fashion world by storm this spring. Luckily, just as the Parisians have proven time and time again, it doesn’t get more chic and plain old versatile than a simple stripe. So hop on the bus to town and snag this timeless addition to complete your head-turning ensemble for spring!

Structured outerwear

This classic nod to angrogyny has been featured on runways almost consecutively in the past few years. It is no wonder that it’s back again this spring! However, this time it is not only the trench-coats and shacketts that will be showcasing the stand out utilitarian material. Boxy shirts, in sturdy fabrics, stiff but elegant shirt-dresses and of course the more familiar over-size jackets will be starring in ever shop window. Grab a piece or two. You will not regret it!

Spritz some color into your closet!

If you’re an avid fashion enthusiast, you’d probably have notice a certain color making it’s way into every dress-makers pieces. Yellow! That’s right, after the three year stint of minimalist, muted garments, this season’s spring 2017 palette is yellow, and I must say it looks pretty darn gorgeous. Now, some designers have focused their palette around more pastel tones of the color but we love it all the same. The most exciting piece so far is the flowy, almost flamenco style summer dresses lending to a slightly goddess-like appearance! Hint hint!

An ode to décolletage

With the off-the shoulder trend making a massive come-back last year, you’d have thought it would be phased out by now. However, I urge you to embrace your inner red carpet goddess and bare your shoulders this spring. The trend offers a fresh bearing by adding some one-shoulder style dresses to the mix, making it somewhat more versatile. Take your pick, they’re all lovely, if I may say so myself!

That’s all for now, have a lovely weekend my loves.
