Gosh, do you guys remember what it was like to go to events like weddings!? All these months of social distancing has made me stare at these 2019 photos and miss the good times even more!
The outfit planning for the bride versus her guests are clearly different, but either way it can be a ton of fun. While my friend’s options were a bit more narrow in terms of what she could wear (think: white dress), I had a lot more leeway for my look. It was a warm July wedding and I wanted to definitely play up the summer vibes with a tropical dress. I was going bold, especially with the rural location, but where’s the fun in playing it safe?
As a guest at my friend’s wedding, I chose a fabulous printed dress designed with green leaves and blue flowers on a black background. With such a bold pattern, I knew to keep the accessories simple with a navy blue shoulder-strap bag, tortoiseshell sunglasses, black heels, and a gold bracelet. I also kept the makeup neutral and simple, letting the colors of the dress draw the attention.
