Quiet Luxury at Its Finest: Alex Rivière Studio Debuts at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid

Welcome to The Director’s Cut, an interactive column featuring fashion, beauty and career advice from RGNN Director and Founder, @isabelevabohrer.

Alex Rivière-Sieber is no newcomer when it comes to fashion week. But it’s one thing to be invited to sit front row, and another to show your own collection.

In 2020, she founded her eponymous brand, Alex Rivière Studio, specializing, at first, in resort wear for the modern woman. Upon the success of her first collections, – she received HOLA magazine’s Fashion Talent award in 2024,- Alex Rivière Studio has since expanded into ready-to-wear as well as evening wear. And now, for the first time, she has shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Madrid.

The current collection, titled “Tribute,” encapsulates the quiet luxury style Alex herself is so well-known for. Neutral staples with structured silhouettes; pieces that you can wear over and over, year after year. The predominating colors? Black, of course. Coupled with grey, white, as well as dark green. Oh, and leopard, which is trending this season.

All fabrics, spanning from silk to cotton and wool, to velvet and vegan leather, are sourced in Italy and everything is then produced in the brand’s ateliers in Costa Brava, Spain.

“Each piece is designed to resonate with the legacy of inspiring women—trailblazers, mentors and sources of lasting influence—whose stories have shaped the world and continue to shape our present,” as the brand’s Instagram page affirms. Let me show you some of the highlights.

Last but not least, a review of the runway show wouldn’t be complete without mention of the accessories. Zoom in on the shoes and you’ll see the pineapple on the sole. It’s the Alex Rivière x Aquazzura collab, a synthesis of two creative minds, Rivière-Sieber herself and Edgardo Osorio, Creative Director of Aquazzura. The perfect accessories to accompany the “Tribute” collection.
