Welcome to The Director’s Cut, an interactive column featuring fashion, beauty and career advice from RGNN Director and Founder, @isabelevabohrer.
“Can you do a rating of your shoe collection?” was the question I got on TikTok. Yes, and why not start a series of mini reviews not only of shoes, but bags, clothes, accessories and even beauty products in my stash? And because after 17+ million views, I still get questions about the Christian Louboutin So Kate 120 pumps, the first review in the series was bound to be dedicated to them.
Keep in mind, these are mini reviews.
I also have a full guide on the So Kates here, including details on sizing, types of leathers, how to break them in and walk in them, as well as a comparisons with other Louboutins, especially the Hot Chick 100, my wedding shoes.

MINI REVIEW

Rating: 10/10
The black patent ones are the most worn heels in my collection right now.
Color: Black patent is such a classic. I have a bunch of colors, but if you only get one color of So Kates, get black patent.
Sizing: My regular size is 39, but I size down to a 37.5 in these; this is the only way they won’t slip off.
Material: Patent leather is harder to break in than nappa, but for a black So Kate, I prefer patent.
Comfort: Is it possible to break them in? Yes, but it will take a while. You need to keep wearing and wearing them.
Bottom line: if you can stand to walk in them, get a pair. Again, read my full guide on these shoes here and if you still have questions, feel free to reach out on TikTok!
