Haya Jadayel completed our Fashion and Luxury Brand Management Internship and Mentoring Program at RGNN Academy in Madrid, Spain, in 2019. And her successes have not stopped since then. If you have been following along, she gave us a little tease a few months ago, sharing all her outfit details from when, as part of her current job, she was creating content at the Jacquemus store opening in the Middle East.
You might be wondering, what amazing job gets her to all these places? Just a few years after graduating from RGNN Academy, and maintaining such a strong relationship with RGNN, – she was nominated and got accepted for a paid fellowship with us during the pandemic and was the face behind all of our social media content, – her current position is Senior Content Associate at Saks Fifth Avenue and Tryano Store in Dubai. Just, wow.
To top things off, she just attended Dubai Fashion Week. Her Instagram content has been giving us major #careergoals vibes, and she kindly agreed to answer a few questions about her latest fashion week experience. Read on to get the scoop – we are so proud of you, Haya!
RGNN: Your current position is Senior Content Associate at Saks Fifth Avenue and Tryano Store in Dubai. What responsibilities did you have at fashion week in particular?
Haya Jadayel: Since I’m the Senior Content Associate, a fancy word for Social Media Executive, I had to make sure [that] we as a brand were part of a regional event, part of a regional conversation and most importantly part of an important fashion milestone!
What were some of your personal highlights attending Dubai Fashion Week this season?
Definitely seeing the different fashion senses and styles, meeting new people [who are] Dubai-based and from all over the world, discovering brands I’ve never heard of and most importantly – watching a [show] on the runway!

Outside of fashion week, what does a normal day in your current job look like (if there even is a normal day in fashion 😊)
I get to the office, check up on my stats on Emplifi to see how we’ve been doing in terms of reach, engagement, follower growth, etc. I then get started on my daily tasks such as planning for the coming weeks – comms, creative assets, etc. I sit with our retail, creative, and e-commerce teams to discuss commercial pushes and business, and how these things translate into social media. I also do daily audits of competitors and accounts we aspire to be!
Do you have any advice for aspiring students who would like to follow in your footsteps when it comes to getting a job in fashion?
Follow your heart, be smart, and be passionate! Make sure you LISTEN, because you are definitely not the smartest [person] in the room, and take advice from your peers and supervisors – they’re full of knowledge and experience!
