Nude heels go with everything. Nude heels make your legs look so much longer. Every girl needs a pair of nude heels in their closet. I have been working in fashion for over a decade, and these statements have always been thrown around by my fellow fashionistas. But I have a confession to make: I never believed them. I always thought a pair of nude heels would make me look pale and washed out.
Until now. I finally gave in and bought a pair of Christian Louboutin Hot Chick 100 pumps in patent nude. And boy was I wrong – they really are the new black. Turns out my fear was unfounded; they match my skin tone perfectly and fulfill everything they promise. I have gotten a lot more wear out of them than I thought; all black ‘fits, white suits and even the occasional red or purple dress I own, they go with everything.
So, here’s a little homage to the heels that I’ve been donning all year, coupled with:
- A pair of power pants (thank you, Hugo Boss, for always saving my workwear looks; this one is sold out but I have linked the oh-so-popular high waisted pants from Zara here)
- A basic black bodysuit (Zara finally came out with a long sleeve version of that halter bodysuit that went viral after Rosie HW wore it; they re-edited this season and it comes in black, white and khaki)
- A classic Hermès Kelly 32 in box leather – been getting so much wear out of this one
- Straighten the hair and while I’m at it, I’ll share my favorite nude nail combo (I’m still wearing red in the photos but for the sake of the nude pumps): one coat of Essie Mademoiselle, one coat of Essie Ballet Slippers, one coat of Essie Fiji – and you’re ready to go.
