Karina Terrazas
Parsons the New School for Design | USA
All the way from Barranquilla Colombia, Karina is the hottest, chicest girl in town, with a huge aesthetic and inspiration from the 90 and the 2000, she describes her style as Y2K, where bling, designer logos, short skirts, huge platform shoes, small tops and cute little handbags are a “must”, with a combination of rebellion, anarchy and bold feelings, she embraces and pull off this style. Karina is a visual artist, stylist, fashion designer, and creative director. She studied at Parsons, where she was able to expand her understanding of fashion by challenging the boundaries of wearability and using clothing as a medium for expression of ideas about contemporary culture and identity. In all her work she tries to make clear that fashion is an artistic expression, showing and wearing art, and not just a functional and devoid of content or used as a commercial tool.
